Emory Artificial Intelligence and Data Association fosters a collaborative environment with a structured hierarchy that empowers members to contribute meaningfully based on their roles and interests.

General Members

General Members form the foundation of EAIDA, representing students who engage in activities, workshops, and discussions without holding leadership or voting roles. Open to all full-time Emory University students, General Members contribute by participating in events, sharing ideas, and supporting the organization's initiatives.

Core Members

Core Members are the driving force behind EAIDA’s operations and decision-making. They include:

1. Departmental Officers: Departmental Officers oversee specific organizational functions within their departments. These individuals are selected through an application and interview process and play key roles in planning, organizing, and executing initiatives. The departments include:
   • Academic and Career Advancement: Focusing on workshops, career mentorship, and academic development.
   • Ethics and Social Impact: Leading discussions and projects on ethical challenges and societal impacts of AI.
   • External Relations and Partnerships: Building relationships with partners and managing fundraising efforts.
   • Finance and Risk Management: Ensuring financial transparency and managing risks.
2. Executive Board: The Executive Board is the highest decision-making body within EAIDA. Comprising Presidents, Vice Presidents for each department, and the Secretary General, the board oversees the strategic direction, governance, and smooth operation of the organization. These leaders are elected annually and are responsible for ensuring that all activities align with EAIDA’s mission and vision.

Council

The Council is an advisory body composed of former Executive Board members who have completed their terms. Acting as mentors, the Council offers guidance based on their experience, ensures continuity, and fosters connections with EAIDA alumni. They also contribute to strengthening EAIDA’s long-term vision and support network.
